Organize a Stretch-Film Order Across Manual, Machine, and Banding Formats
This collection brings together seven film listings used for manual pallet wrapping, compatible wrapping equipment, and smaller bundles. Use it to compare the application families before choosing a specific product. Each film retains its own dimensions and ordering presentation. A complete inventory comparison identifies the task, specification, purchased footage, quantity rule, and any equipment requirement rather than grouping every item under the word “wrap.”
Start with three application families
Manual pallet wrapping points to hand film, compatible equipment points to machine film, and smaller bundling points to mini banding. A warehouse may use all three. Keep separate product lines for those tasks so the roll format and quantity can be reviewed independently.
If the application is unclear, describe how the current material is applied and what items it holds together. A machine name, current label, or photograph can provide useful identification. Do not assume that a shared stretch-film category establishes interchangeability. The application is the first filter for the specification discussion.
Standard hand film: full specification and total rolls
The standard hand product lists 18-inch width with 70 or 80 gauge by 1,500 feet and 115 gauge by 1,000 feet. Its selector uses total rolls, allowing one to three individuals and full boxes of four thereafter. Record the selected combination and total rather than an unspecified number of packs.
The product's published sixteen- and forty-eight-roll savings compare with equivalent four-roll packs of the same specification. Other valid totals use the displayed pack calculation. Keep the film choice unchanged in that savings comparison. A quantity saving should not be confused with a price difference caused by changing gauge or footage.
Colored hand film: one color per selection
The colored listing offers black, white, green, blue, red, and yellow for manual wrapping with visual identification. Each selection contains one color. Its total-roll rules and published savings refer to the selected color. Confirm the roll specification with Packsys rather than assigning the clear standard product's dimensions automatically.
Use a consistent color meaning within your own operation and retain shipment labels and records for detailed identification, as the page advises. Visibility depends on color, opacity, and layers. Put separate colors on separate purchasing lines so the intended quantities remain clear and a mixed-color request is not mistaken for a single-color pack.
High-performance hand film: compare its own construction
The high-performance hand selection lists 18-inch width, 31 gauge identified as 8 microns, and 1,475 feet per roll. The presentation contains four rolls. It describes a thin-gauge, stiff formulation for containment during manual wrapping. These details differ from the standard hand options.
Evaluate the film with the actual load and wrapping method. Do not transfer another product's selector rules or discount percentages to the fixed four-roll presentation. Its name does not establish a universal savings result or load-weight rating. Preserve the stated specification and current availability in the comparison.
Pre-stretched hand film: manufacturing and dimensions
The pre-stretched product lists 17-inch width, 30 gauge, and 1,500 feet per roll. The page explains that stretching occurs during manufacture before the material is wound. It uses total rolls with individual quantities of one to three and full boxes of four afterward, plus its stated quantity shortcuts.
Keep the 17-inch width in view when comparing it with 18-inch hand products. Equal roll footage does not make the dimensions identical. Evaluate consumption and containment on actual goods as the product page advises, and check current availability for the selected quantity. A manufacturing description is not a universal performance promise.
Standard machine film: one-roll ordering
The standard machine listing contains one 20-inch roll per presentation. Its choices are 70 gauge by 6,000 feet and 80 gauge by 5,000 feet. The quantity selector counts individual rolls. Keep the selected gauge, footage, and total rolls together rather than applying the hand-film pack method.
Confirm the wrapper's film requirements, including width, core, roll dimensions, and settings where relevant. If the machine uses a pre-stretch system, identify that requirement in the request. A roll described for machine application is not automatically approved for every piece of wrapping equipment.
High-performance machine film: a specification discussion
The high-performance machine page describes use in high-speed automatic wrapping and pre-stretch systems capable of 300 percent or greater. Product selection depends on the wrapper, load, and containment requirements. Ask Packsys to confirm roll specifications and presentation for the actual operation.
Provide the equipment make and model, current material label, typical usage, and observed issue. Where a dimension is not confirmed, leave it as a question rather than adopting the standard machine specification. The written offer should identify the film being proposed and its quantity, availability, price, and delivery arrangement.
Mini banding: narrow film and pack count
The banding listing states 5-inch width, 80 gauge, and 1,000 feet per roll, with twelve rolls per pack. It is a narrow format for bundling items during handling, storage, and shipping. The quantity counts packs, so one pack contains twelve rolls and two contain twenty-four.
Keep banding distinct from full-pallet wrapping. A 12,000-foot total in one pack describes purchased length, but the narrow format remains different from an 18-inch hand or 20-inch machine roll. Describe the items and bundling task when asking about suitability. Do not select purely from a footage or pack-price comparison.
Compare purchased footage across presentations
Four standard 1,500-foot hand rolls contain 6,000 feet; four 1,000-foot hand rolls contain 4,000 feet. A high-performance hand pack contains four 1,475-foot rolls, totaling 5,900 feet. A banding pack contains twelve 1,000-foot rolls, totaling 12,000 feet. These totals explain the purchase contents while leaving the differing formats visible.
One standard machine roll contains 5,000 or 6,000 feet according to the selected gauge. Equal purchased footage does not establish equal width, construction, application, or acceptable wrapped loads. Label calculations with the complete specification and distinguish unstretched roll footage from material used during the operating process.
Keep gauge separate from the complete result
The Academy articles explain that load arrangement, protruding edges, film tension, and overlapping layers affect containment. Thickness alone does not settle the selection. If the current film tears, a load shifts, or rewrapping is frequent, describe the issue before deciding that a different gauge is the entire solution.
Use comparable loads and a repeatable method when evaluating another product. Record material use, breaks, rework, and any process changes. Follow equipment instructions where machinery is involved. This guide does not establish universal tension, layer counts, or a load rating for every film in the collection.
Build an inventory record another person can use
For each film, record application, product name, specification, presentation, ordering unit, typical usage, and quantity needed now. Add color where relevant and equipment identification for machine materials. Keep a current label or written clarification with any requirement that is not obvious from the internal purchasing description.
If a facility uses several films, do not average their roll counts into one generic total without identifying the specifications. A count of ten rolls can describe different purchased footage and applications. Clear records support both a mixed order and a later replenishment request without requiring another person to guess which film is intended.
Separate unit-price arithmetic from operating cost
Divide a confirmed material total by roll count for price per roll or by purchased footage for price per foot. Keep dimensions beside the result, and state whether shipping and taxes are included. A lower figure can still compare different films or presentations. It is a purchasing measure rather than a performance rating.
Cost per acceptable wrapped load requires consumption and rework observations from the actual process. The manual-versus-machine article explains this distinction. Keep the load, method, material, and equipment associated with those observations so a claimed improvement has a defined basis.
Use the focused collection when the application is known
Once the task is identified, move to the hand, machine, high-performance, or banding collection for the related products. Open the actual listing to review its current selection and availability. A “from” price on a card is a summary across choices; the selected specification and presentation determine the purchase total.
If a product is unavailable or asks customers to contact the team for pricing, discuss the exact item and quantity. Do not assume a restock date or that another film is the approved substitute. Compare any proposed alternative's application, dimensions, presentation, and commercial terms before accepting a change.
Send the film request with the relevant facts
Provide the current label, manual or machine application, equipment where relevant, load description, typical usage, quantity required now, destination, and required date. State the issue being addressed and mark unknown measurements for clarification. Keep different specifications and colors on separate lines.
Use Contact & Quotes, info@packsys.us, or +1 346 374 0090. Read Packsys Academy for the introductory and purchasing guides. The collection gives a broad comparison; the detailed product choice and written confirmation establish the actual film and presentation being ordered.
Before You Complete a Packaging Order
Match the selection to the work it needs to do
Identify the application before comparing prices: manual wrapping, machine wrapping, smaller bundling, carton closure, inside-the-box packing, or load protection. Open the selected product page and read its own specification. Where equipment is involved, keep the machine or tool identification available and confirm any requirement that remains unclear. A category name or similar-looking dimension is a starting point for comparison, rather than a complete compatibility statement.
Review presentation and quantity together
A roll, case, pack, piece, or machine describes a different ordering unit. The selected presentation determines what is included. Quantity one of a multi-roll or multi-piece presentation means one pack containing the stated contents. Some products use total-roll or total-bag selectors with their own rules. Read the displayed selection and total instead of transferring another product's quantity method. Keep the specification and intended contents in the purchase record.
Keep measurements attached to any calculation
When comparing roll material, record width, thickness where stated, and length per roll alongside the roll count. Multiply confirmed roll count by stated length to compare purchased footage. A unit-price calculation helps explain the purchase amount but does not establish guaranteed packing output or load performance. Actual use depends on the goods and application. State whether shipping and taxes are included when comparing delivered totals.
Check the current offer before payment
Review the selected product, presentation, quantity, availability, delivery address, taxes, shipping charges, and full total. Prices are in U.S. dollars. A product card's “from” price is a browsing summary across choices; the actual selection determines the order. Where pricing or availability requires contact, obtain the relevant details in the written offer. If a product is unavailable, ask about it without assuming a restock date or an approved substitute.
Confirm quotes and any requested changes
An inquiry or request for a quote does not place an order. Written quotes identify products, quantities, price, availability, shipping arrangements, and any validity period. Changes to a quoted purchase must be agreed before payment. If another person approves the order, keep the current quote and specification available so both people review the same selection. A purchase order, company account, previous purchase, or inquiry does not automatically grant credit; credit requires individual written approval.
Plan the actual receiving arrangement
Direct online shipping covers the 48 contiguous United States. In-stock preparation of one to two business days is separate from carrier transit. Machinery and pallet orders require a freight quote and delivery confirmation before payment, with address type and relevant appointment, liftgate, forklift, loading-dock, or access requirements. Houston pickup needs prior coordination and readiness confirmation. Local delivery needs a prior quote. Use the Shipping Policy and confirmed order details for the arrangement.
Keep support records after delivery
Retain the order number, specification, selected presentation, delivery information, and relevant written correspondence. If an item arrives damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or appears defective, contact Packsys with a factual description and photos if available. The Return Policy explains authorization, conditions, transportation costs, and approved refunds. Contact the team before sending products back or buying a return label; machinery and pallet returns need freight coordination.
Ask about the detail that is still uncertain
For selection or quotation help, state the product, intended application, current label or equipment where relevant, quantity, destination, and required date. Mark unknown details so they can be clarified. Use Contact & Quotes, email info@packsys.us, or call +1 346 374 0090. The Terms of Service explain quantities, quotes, taxes, credit, and order changes. Keep the final written confirmation with the actual product selection before purchasing.
Review business purchasing conditions explicitly
For a credit request, the individual written approval states payment periods, limits, and other conditions. A purchase order or earlier order does not establish those terms on its own. If requesting a resale or other tax exemption, contact Packsys before payment and provide valid supporting documentation. A company name or tax identification number alone does not establish eligibility. Review the applicable tax line at checkout or in the quote with the other purchase details.
Confirm an address outside standard online coverage
Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, military addresses, and international destinations are outside the published standard online shipping coverage. Contact Packsys before ordering to discuss availability and any special terms, which require written confirmation. Use the actual receiving address, which may differ from a company's billing address or headquarters. If the destination or receiving service changes after a quote, ask for the revised arrangements to be agreed before payment.
Keep delivery problems connected to the order
For damaged, missing, incorrect, or lost items, provide the order number, description, and photos if available. Keep the packaging while the issue is reviewed and report the problem promptly. The Shipping Policy explains that a delayed report does not automatically waive legal rights. Packsys coordinates the next steps with the customer and carrier. An order-specific description helps distinguish a delivery issue from a new product-selection inquiry or an ordinary change-of-mind return.
Request return authorization before transportation
The Return Policy allows a request within thirty days after delivery and asks customers to contact Packsys before sending items back. Change-of-mind consumable returns require unused products in original sealed packaging; machinery must be unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging with parts and accessories. Those conditions do not prevent reporting damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete goods. The authorization supplies the return address and shipping or pickup instructions. Coordinate machinery and pallet freight first.
Read approved return costs and refund timing
The published restocking fee is zero percent. The customer pays change-of-mind return shipping, while Packsys pays necessary return shipping for its error or a defective product under the policy. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within five business days after receipt, inspection, and approval; the bank may take additional time to post them. Original delivery charges are treated according to the reason and affected items, with the calculation explained in the authorization. Earlier purchases retain the terms applicable when ordered.
