Read Machine-Film Specifications Against Your Wrapper

This collection contains standard machine stretch film and a separate high-performance machine selection. Begin with the wrapping equipment and the roll requirements it can use. Then compare the stated width, gauge, length, core and roll dimensions where available, and any pre-stretch requirement. The guide below explains the listed standard choices and the information needed to discuss a quoted alternative.

Identify the wrapper before choosing film

Record the equipment make and model and its film requirements. The Academy comparison asks buyers to confirm width, core, roll dimensions, settings, and any pre-stretch system. A product labeled machine film is a relevant family, but it is not automatically a fit for every wrapper. Keep the equipment information with the current roll label.

If the current material works satisfactorily, explain that the request concerns replenishment or a purchasing comparison. If it breaks or creates rewrapping, describe the issue and when it occurs. A request for a stronger film without equipment and load context may omit the information needed to review the selection.

Standard film: one roll per presentation

The standard machine-film listing states that each presentation contains one 20-inch-wide roll made with multilayer cast technology. The quantity selector counts individual rolls. Quantity three therefore means three selected rolls, rather than three cases with an unstated roll count. Review the actual specification chosen before increasing quantity.

This method differs from the total-roll pack calculations on standard hand film and some other products. Do not use another listing's four-roll box or quantity-discount rule automatically. Keep the one-roll presentation, selected gauge and length, and intended total in the purchasing record.

Compare the two standard specifications

SpecificationWidthStated footage per rollPresentation
70 gauge20 in6,000 ftOne roll
80 gauge20 in5,000 ftOne roll

The gauge and footage belong together in the selection. A request for a 20-inch roll does not identify which of these two choices is intended. Select the complete option to review its current price and availability. Confirm the wrapper requirements before ordering either specification.

Calculate footage for the intended quantity

Three stated 6,000-foot rolls contain 18,000 feet before stretching. Three stated 5,000-foot rolls contain 15,000 feet. Five rolls contain 30,000 or 25,000 feet respectively. The calculation is roll count multiplied by the selected footage. It explains what is purchased rather than how many acceptable pallets the material will wrap.

The 6,000-foot option has 1,000 more stated feet per roll than the 5,000-foot option, a twenty-percent difference in purchased footage relative to 5,000 feet. The gauges also differ. Keep both facts visible so the length comparison is not mistaken for proof of equal construction, compatibility, or performance.

Keep purchased footage and film after stretching distinct

The product's roll length describes stated material supplied on the roll. A pre-stretch process changes the material during application, so a footage calculation should not be turned into guaranteed operating output without the actual equipment and method. Use the wrapper's instructions and confirmed requirements for the selected film.

If a consumption estimate is based on material used per pallet, state how that use was measured and which film and settings were involved. Avoid combining purchased-roll footage and an assumed application figure without explaining the units. A clear comparison identifies what was bought and what the operation actually consumed.

High-performance film: confirm the separate requirement

The high-performance machine product is described for high-speed automatic wrapping with pre-stretch systems capable of 300 percent or greater. Its selection depends on the wrapper, load, and containment requirements. It asks customers to confirm the relevant specifications rather than supplying every dimension through a category summary.

Provide the equipment capability and current material label in the inquiry. Do not assign the standard 20-inch roll choices to the quoted product unless that is confirmed. The category groups related machine applications, while the actual offer identifies the proposed film dimensions, presentation, quantity, and availability.

Use the load description in the film comparison

Record load dimensions, carton arrangement, and any irregular or protruding edges. Identify where current film problems occur. The Academy articles explain that film tension and overlapping layers work with the load arrangement, and gauge alone does not determine containment. A specification should be reviewed alongside the actual goods.

If several load types are wrapped, distinguish them in the request. An average description can hide a recurring problem on only one arrangement. Keep the current method and observed result with each relevant load. The guide does not prescribe a universal layer count, tension, or setting for every pallet.

Evaluate alternatives using comparable conditions

The high-performance product advises assessing consumption and wrapping performance on actual loads, with results depending on application and settings. Record material used, breaks, rewrapping, and time where relevant. Use comparable loads and an agreed process so the observations can support a purchasing discussion.

If the film and machine settings both change, record both changes rather than attributing the result solely to the new material. Follow the equipment's operating instructions. A product family or listed capability is not a guaranteed percentage saving for every warehouse. Keep claims tied to the actual comparison and confirmed selection.

Review cost per purchased unit and cost in use separately

Divide the confirmed material total by roll count for price per roll, or by total stated footage for price per foot. Label whether the figures include delivery and taxes. A lower roll price can compare different footage, so keep the gauge and length beside the price. Use the current selected variant or written quote rather than a card's starting price alone.

Cost per acceptable wrapped pallet also involves material consumption and rework. Keep those observations separate from purchasing arithmetic. If a new film is being evaluated, preserve the load, equipment, settings, and period of the comparison so another person can understand what the expected improvement refers to.

Keep manual film and banding in their own categories

If the wrapping process is manual, use hand stretch wrap. If the task is smaller bundling, use mini banding film. A common stretch-film name does not make their roll formats interchangeable with machine film. Identify the application before deciding which specification to order.

A warehouse using several methods should list their materials separately. The standard hand selector and banding pack have different quantity rules from the one-roll machine presentation. The hand-versus-machine guide explains the main distinctions and the operational facts to record.

Prepare the replenishment information

State the selected product, width, gauge, length, roll count, typical usage, and quantity required now. Include the wrapper and current label where compatibility or a change is being reviewed. Identify whether demand is typical replenishment or a one-time project. Keep different specifications on separate lines.

If the operation uses several wrappers, explain which material is intended for each. A shared purchasing record should not erase equipment-specific requirements. Check current availability and any quoted presentation before payment. A previous purchase is useful evidence of what was ordered, but it does not freeze future price or availability.

Ask the team about missing specifications

Provide the wrapper make and model, pre-stretch requirement, current roll label, load description, quantity, destination, and the detail to confirm. Mark unknown core or roll measurements instead of copying them from another product. A focused request lets the discussion address the actual machine-film selection.

Use Contact & Quotes, info@packsys.us, or +1 346 374 0090. For a quoted alternative, ask the offer to identify the material specification, presentation, quantity, availability, price, and delivery arrangement. Keep the written clarification with the final purchase so the agreed equipment and film relationship remains available for repeat orders.

Before You Complete a Packaging Order

Match the selection to the work it needs to do

Identify the application before comparing prices: manual wrapping, machine wrapping, smaller bundling, carton closure, inside-the-box packing, or load protection. Open the selected product page and read its own specification. Where equipment is involved, keep the machine or tool identification available and confirm any requirement that remains unclear. A category name or similar-looking dimension is a starting point for comparison, rather than a complete compatibility statement.

Review presentation and quantity together

A roll, case, pack, piece, or machine describes a different ordering unit. The selected presentation determines what is included. Quantity one of a multi-roll or multi-piece presentation means one pack containing the stated contents. Some products use total-roll or total-bag selectors with their own rules. Read the displayed selection and total instead of transferring another product's quantity method. Keep the specification and intended contents in the purchase record.

Keep measurements attached to any calculation

When comparing roll material, record width, thickness where stated, and length per roll alongside the roll count. Multiply confirmed roll count by stated length to compare purchased footage. A unit-price calculation helps explain the purchase amount but does not establish guaranteed packing output or load performance. Actual use depends on the goods and application. State whether shipping and taxes are included when comparing delivered totals.

Check the current offer before payment

Review the selected product, presentation, quantity, availability, delivery address, taxes, shipping charges, and full total. Prices are in U.S. dollars. A product card's “from” price is a browsing summary across choices; the actual selection determines the order. Where pricing or availability requires contact, obtain the relevant details in the written offer. If a product is unavailable, ask about it without assuming a restock date or an approved substitute.

Confirm quotes and any requested changes

An inquiry or request for a quote does not place an order. Written quotes identify products, quantities, price, availability, shipping arrangements, and any validity period. Changes to a quoted purchase must be agreed before payment. If another person approves the order, keep the current quote and specification available so both people review the same selection. A purchase order, company account, previous purchase, or inquiry does not automatically grant credit; credit requires individual written approval.

Plan the actual receiving arrangement

Direct online shipping covers the 48 contiguous United States. In-stock preparation of one to two business days is separate from carrier transit. Machinery and pallet orders require a freight quote and delivery confirmation before payment, with address type and relevant appointment, liftgate, forklift, loading-dock, or access requirements. Houston pickup needs prior coordination and readiness confirmation. Local delivery needs a prior quote. Use the Shipping Policy and confirmed order details for the arrangement.

Keep support records after delivery

Retain the order number, specification, selected presentation, delivery information, and relevant written correspondence. If an item arrives damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or appears defective, contact Packsys with a factual description and photos if available. The Return Policy explains authorization, conditions, transportation costs, and approved refunds. Contact the team before sending products back or buying a return label; machinery and pallet returns need freight coordination.

Ask about the detail that is still uncertain

For selection or quotation help, state the product, intended application, current label or equipment where relevant, quantity, destination, and required date. Mark unknown details so they can be clarified. Use Contact & Quotes, email info@packsys.us, or call +1 346 374 0090. The Terms of Service explain quantities, quotes, taxes, credit, and order changes. Keep the final written confirmation with the actual product selection before purchasing.

Review business purchasing conditions explicitly

For a credit request, the individual written approval states payment periods, limits, and other conditions. A purchase order or earlier order does not establish those terms on its own. If requesting a resale or other tax exemption, contact Packsys before payment and provide valid supporting documentation. A company name or tax identification number alone does not establish eligibility. Review the applicable tax line at checkout or in the quote with the other purchase details.

Confirm an address outside standard online coverage

Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, military addresses, and international destinations are outside the published standard online shipping coverage. Contact Packsys before ordering to discuss availability and any special terms, which require written confirmation. Use the actual receiving address, which may differ from a company's billing address or headquarters. If the destination or receiving service changes after a quote, ask for the revised arrangements to be agreed before payment.

Keep delivery problems connected to the order

For damaged, missing, incorrect, or lost items, provide the order number, description, and photos if available. Keep the packaging while the issue is reviewed and report the problem promptly. The Shipping Policy explains that a delayed report does not automatically waive legal rights. Packsys coordinates the next steps with the customer and carrier. An order-specific description helps distinguish a delivery issue from a new product-selection inquiry or an ordinary change-of-mind return.

Request return authorization before transportation

The Return Policy allows a request within thirty days after delivery and asks customers to contact Packsys before sending items back. Change-of-mind consumable returns require unused products in original sealed packaging; machinery must be unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging with parts and accessories. Those conditions do not prevent reporting damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete goods. The authorization supplies the return address and shipping or pickup instructions. Coordinate machinery and pallet freight first.

Read approved return costs and refund timing

The published restocking fee is zero percent. The customer pays change-of-mind return shipping, while Packsys pays necessary return shipping for its error or a defective product under the policy. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within five business days after receipt, inspection, and approval; the bank may take additional time to post them. Original delivery charges are treated according to the reason and affected items, with the calculation explained in the authorization. Earlier purchases retain the terms applicable when ordered.
