Packaging Supplies for Houston Warehouses: A Buying Checklist

Packsys USA
Cornerboard protecting the edge of a wrapped pallet load

Packsys USA ships from Houston. If you buy packaging for a warehouse, distribution operation or shipping department, build your order around the job each material needs to do. A list organized by application is easier to check than a list of product names alone.

1. Hold pallet loads together

Start with hand stretch wrap for a manual process or machine stretch film for a compatible pallet wrapper. Record the roll width, gauge, length and your approximate monthly usage.

If you are reviewing the process as well as the film, compare pallet wrapping equipment. Include your load dimensions and daily volume when requesting guidance. Our hand vs. machine film guide explains what to compare.

2. Close cartons

Browse packing tape by the way it will be applied. A handheld dispenser and a carton sealing machine may require different roll dimensions. Confirm tape width, roll length, case quantity and dispenser or machine compatibility before substituting one tape for another.

When comparing quotes, make sure both refer to the same number of rolls and the same length per roll. A case price alone does not show how much material you are buying.

3. Address edges, gaps and inside-the-box packing

  • Pallet cornerboards provide edge protection. Check the required dimensions and quantity against the load.
  • Dunnage bags and inflation tools are a separate part of a load-securing plan. Confirm the application, gap and bag requirements before ordering.
  • Air cushion materials and compatible equipment support inside-the-box packing. Match the film to the machine and product being packed.
  • Mini banding film is an option to review for smaller bundling tasks.

These materials solve different problems. Describe where damage or movement occurs so the quote can focus on the relevant part of the packing process.

4. Put usable details in the quote request

For a faster, clearer discussion, send:

  • The product name or a photo of the current roll or carton label.
  • Dimensions, gauge and roll length where applicable.
  • The quantity needed now and typical monthly usage.
  • Your delivery ZIP code and required date.
  • Any equipment model, recurring damage or packing issue.

Ask our team to confirm current availability, delivery options and order conditions for your request. For larger volumes or credit terms, contact us directly so those conditions can be discussed with your business.
